Individual Sessions
I offer hour-long general or specifically tailored individual mindfulness and meditation sessions, in person, at the at the Kingsmoor Clinic, in the village of Kingston Bagpuize, and also at the Abingdon Natural Health and Therapy Centre, both in beautiful Oxfordshire, but I can also offer on-line sessions, whichever would be most convenient for you.

Following each session, you will receive an audio copy of the meditations we have practised during the session, so that you can practise in the comfort of your own home, or at work, or in fact anywhere you choose, and most importantly, when you choose.

You are most welcome to bring a blanket with you for longer sessions, and a journal would also be beneficial.

Costs

An hour-long individual mindfulness session is £55.00

Group Courses
Taking up a new life skill can often seem daunting, which is where group courses are often beneficial. You could enrol with a friend or colleague, but even on your own you would findhave the support and camaraderie of others in the group, with whom you can build an ongoing and even lifelong bond.

Group courses also offer the wonderful chance to share experiences and learn from other participants, and importantly to understand that you are not alone, that other people share similar life experiences to yourself, both past and present.

Research has shown that it usually takes about six to eight weeks of mindfulness practice to see benefits. Therefore, group courses are 8 weeks long, and can be taken in person, in the same venue as for individual sessions, above, or on-line, both depending on demand.

Costs

An 8-week course costs £295.00 per person, and each weekly session lasts around two hours. A minimum of 5 participants is required for this to go ahead.

Corporate Mindfulness Sessions
Businesses lose a substantial amount of money and productivity every year due to staff absenteeism, and much of this absenteeism is underpinned by stress and overwhelm in the workplace. Evidence suggests that, in the UK, 12.7% of all sickness absence can be linked to poor mental health (mentalhealth.org.uk). In 2020 it was found that UK businesses were losing between £42bn and £45bn per annum due to their employees’ mental health issues (Public Health England, Deloitte). Mindfulness and Meditation sessions and courses in the workplace can offer stress reduction and wellbeing, build resilience within employees, and thus help to boost productivity and creativity.

Please contact me if you'd like a free taster workshop to see how I could help your business to reduce absenteeism, and more importantly, help you to demonstrate commitment by fostering wellbeing within your employees.
Mindfulness for Menopause
Some symptoms of menopause are not necessarily alleviated by HRT, and women who are using specific medications following breast cancer are not generally allowed to use HRT. Added to this, women who end up with a treatment-induced menopause often find themselves having worse symptoms than women who experience a natural menopause.
Research has shown that mindfulness can be beneficial in the management of hot flushes and other menopausal symptoms such as irritability, low mood, forgetfulness, dryness, itching, joint pain and headaches.
Hot flushes are of course one of the difficult symptoms of menopause. Stress is believed to lower our tolerance to heat, therefore engaging in mindfulness, which has been shown to reduce stress, is considered beneficial in managing hot flushes.
Although studies have indicated that the number and intensity of hot flushes don’t necessarily decrease, your response to them is what matters. If you can respond with acceptance, and less reactivity, rather than becoming frustrated, upset, angry or anxious, this is where an improvement to your quality of life can be felt.

Please do contact me for a session tailored to menopause.
